News and Announcements
Hello Ice Cats and Happy New Year!
I hope you all had a great holiday and you’re ready to get back on the ice! We have 11 more ice slots this season starting tomorrow through mid-March.
For tomorrow’s ice slot – Jan 3rd cost will be $20 per skater. If we have enough skaters who would like to commit through mid-March we can figure out pricing based on numbers. I know we all love our ice time so PLEASE make every effort to attend. If we can’t keep our numbers up we won’t be able to cover the cost of ice and will lose our ice slot.
A few highlights:
- This is a fun no pressure scrimmage for all skating levels
- Please sign-up on Team Pages to let us know if you plan to attend – this will help us to better plan for the scrimmage
- Be sure to bring a dark and light jersey for each skate
- Go to Keene Ice website before your skate to pre-register for a QR Code – this is required when entering the Arena as well as a temp check. Masks are required to enter as well as while in the locker rooms. Covid test not required.
- Please bring $20 cash or a check made out to Cheshire Ice Cats – money to be given to Sheri Raffensberger as you enter.
Please spread the word if you know any other women interested in skating.
Hope to see you all Sunday!

Hello Fellow Ice Cats,
Hope everyone is well and staying safe. A matter has come up that we wanted to touch base on. Per STATE regulations and protocol Keene Ice is asking everyone to get tested for Covid. This is there policy they have just notified us with to be able to provide a negative covid test within the dates of October 16th to November 6th. They may ask us as an organization to show that the skaters we have out on the ice can prove to have a negative covid test.
We are not asking to give me or Jill any medical papers, we feel we are all responsible enough that if we were asked to prove we have a negative test, we would let skaters know and they can present such papers themselves.
Beth did make a statement saying to NOT worry about this Sunday if you do not get tested in time, YOU WILL BE ABLE TO SKATE SUNDAY.
The pre screening process is still in place and will need to be done prior going into the arena. You may not enter the arena until 15 minutes before practice as there policy.
As we all know this pandemic is somewhat stressful for everyone. We are all hockey lovers and enjoy spending quality time with everyone on the ice but we are not asking you to do something you are not comfortable with, this is just what Keene Ice is requiring of us as an organization.
Please reach out to me or Jill with any questions concerns or thoughts!
This Sundays (11/1/2020) skate is at 5:10pm, we hope to see you there!
