Keene Ice Floor Hockey info

Posted by Cheshire Ice Cats at Apr 3, 2023 12:53PM PDT ( 0 Comments )

Hi
Bobby from Keene Ice asked me to put this out. If you have any questions contact him.
Take care. Jill

There was a lot of excitement and talk when we first announced the floor hockey league but that hasn’t translated into a ton of registrations. Each group has some registrations but we are hoping to bolster those numbers to fill out the divisions and make a real league of it.
The reason we are trying floor hockey is, of course, to raise a little revenue for the rink while the ice is out but mainly because we’ve heard from hockey players who miss the rink while the ice is out and also because a lot of our local players have friends who like hockey but don’t play because they don’t skate. Floor hockey is an affordable way for them to join the fun. $89 is for 8 weeks of floor hockey and a pinny (with logo & number) that is theirs to keep.

Information and registration is available at: https://keeneice.com/floor-hockey/

Helmets are required for 9U, 11U and 13U categories. No other equipment is required and players can even use their regular ice hockey sticks if they’d like but people have told us that having street hockey sticks and street hockey shin pads makes a big difference so, to that end, MYLEC will be here at the rink this Tuesday, April 4th (tomorrow) from 3pm to 6:30pm for product demos and sales for our floor hockey players.

Please share widely and have people reach out if there are any questions.

PRACTICE TODAY, NO GAME

Rutland backed out. They only had 6 players and didn’t want to make the drive for a combined team game.
We will probably scrimmage.
